About the Presenter
Michelle Ossmann is a socio-spatial scientist, dedicated to improving healthcare quality through rigorous design research. Having received both her undergraduate and graduate degrees in nursing from Emory University, Michelle spent 10 years in ED and ICU clinical practice. It was during the redesign of her own ICU that Michelle saw the need for clinician expertise from within design, earning a PhD in Architecture from Georgia Institute of Technology. At Herman Miller, Michelle bridges human-centered design, emerging business models, and academic research to drive organizational outcomes for Herman Miller’s partners.
